Warren City Hall Lights Up Purple in solidarity with the National Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Month

December is National Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Month and our chance to raise awareness of Crohn’s and Colitis and shine a light on lives of people who impacted it.

Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis impact every aspect of the lives of those diagnosed with the debilitating digestive diseases.  Although there are over 5 million people living with these diseases around the world, many people are unaware of what it entails.

Warren Mayor Jim Fouts has directed that the front of city hall be lit up Friday, December 1 from dusk to dawn to draw public attention to Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Month and help increase public awareness of this debilitating disease.

From diagnosis and treatment to advocacy, support, and beyond, there are so many twists and turns along the road for patients and caregivers, and no one journey is identical.
