After outstanding police detective work from January 13 to today including DNA court order evidence they were able make an arrest of three individuals that are believed to be involved in the “slaying of a woman whose body was found on a home’s front lawn”.  The induvial arrested included a 24 year old from Detroit; a 46 year old from Eastpointe, and 58 year old from Huntington Woods.

The tragic murder of this young female occurred in the 30000 block of Berghway Trail in Heritage Village, located near 13 Mile and Mound in the City of Warren.

Through an exhaustive investigation which involved gloves (The gloves were sent to the Michigan State Police Crime Lab for DNA analysis), a handgun (which was found in a heavy brush area near where the gloves were found), and phone records of the suspects, led to their arrest.  Mayor James Fouts would like to commend the great work conducted by the Detectives of the Warren Police Department.

Again, if you commit a crime in Warren you will be apprehended.

Mayor Jim Fouts would like to also commend the City of Warren Special Operations unit for their apprehension and arrest of a chronic thief and burglar who was involved in at least 29 B&E’s in the City of Warren, Macomb County and Madison Heights.

The thief also targeted a number of residential homes in the City of Warren, in what can only be referred to as a “one man crime wave.”  Targeting nail salons in the area, this person’s crime wave stretches back to early February in the City of Warren, and as far back as December of 2016 in other areas.

Mayor James Fouts is extremely pleased with the great investigative work conducted by the Warren Police which led to the arrest of this individual.   The induvial, is a male, Caucasian, and resides in the City of Roseville.  His full name and mugshot will be released following arraignment.
